Growth and No Growth
Welcome to Issue 2 of Nettle Soup and a refreshingly zingy taste of non-conformity. The recent UK election and new Prime Minister might seem like change, but its just 'the same old suits'. Although there seemed to be choice, there were really no options. The three main parties all claimed to have different ways to overcome the ‘credit crunch’ and ‘get things back to normal’.
They offered us a choice of different ways to get our economy back on track but no other options. There may now be one small green voice in Brighton but what about a ‘no growth’ option which might concentrate us for a little while on not squandering the precious resources of the earth in order to make money for the few .......................................................................................More »
