For many years we tried to encourage Dad to put his memories on tape for posterity and eventually with a Christmas present of a Dictaphone and tapes and my brother being in a position to make a regular weekly commitment to encourage and ask questions these memories came about. Please read on for the memories of a man who experienced life as a choirboy in Coventry Cathedral, an army officer in the Second World War, an active participant in D-day, an adjutant in a prisoner of war camp for the Germans, a programmer for one of the first computers used commercially and a romantic man in a long and happy marriage.
